2014 Elite’s Perfect Run to Bell Capital Cup Championship

The 2014 Elite team captured the championship at the Bell Capital Cup 2024 with a perfect 6-0 record.

From the start, the Warriors showed they meant business, shutting out the Syracuse Nationals in a 5-0 rout. It was a strong opener, with the team’s offense clicking right away. Next up, the VJW Elite faced the Nepean Raiders, and while the Raiders put up a solid fight, Warriors balanced attack and disciplined defense led them to a comfortable 4-1 victory. In their third match, the VJW showed more of the same, outplaying the Eastern Ontario Cobras 4-1. The team’s confidence was building, and they were proving to be a tough opponent for anyone. In one of their most dominant performances, the 2014's took down the NJ Rockets with another 5-0 scoreline. The combination of offensive firepower and solid defensive play left little chance for the Rockets to mount a comeback.

With a perfect record and high spirits, the VJW Elite entered the championship game against the Westchester Express. The final was an absolute thriller.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead but faced a determined Westchester squad who fought back to make it a tight contest. Despite the Express pushing hard, the VJW Elite held their ground and ultimately secured the 4-3 win, cementing their place as champions of the Bell Capital Cup.

Congratulations to the 2014 VJW Elite team on their well-earned victory! With a perfect 6-0 record, 26 goals scored, and just 7 goals allowed, they’ve firmly established themselves as one of the premier teams in youth hockey.

With the championship secured, the 2014's are now setting their sights back on the Elite 9 season where they have two games this weekend against the Jr. Thunderbirds and Lovell Winter Club.
