Kreider Plays in 700th Career NHL Game

We would like to congratulate Valley Jr. Warriors Alumni, Chris Kreider, on playing his 700th career NHL game. All of which has been played with the New York Rangers.  Kreider is now in his 11th season with the Rangers and his 5th season as an assistant captain. This season, Kreider has played in 46 games recording 20 goals and 11 assists for 31 total points.

Kreider has not had an easy road to this point. In the 2017-2018 season, he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his arm. Through his perseverance and having the heart of a warrior, Kreider rebounded and has only continued to grow as a staple of the Rangers organization. Kreider is coming off one of his best NHL seasons with a career-high 81 goals and 52 assists. The NY Rangers forward is currently on pace to hit those numbers once again this season. Kreider has been named to the NHL All-Star team in 2020 and 2022.

Kreider, a Boxford, MA native was with the Valley Jr. Warriors. for four years from 2004-2008. He then attended Masconomet Regional High School for two years before playing his junior and senior year at Phillips Academy Andover. Kreider then went on to play at Boston College where he became one of the top players in the nation and was selected in the first round (No. 19) in the 2009 NHL draft. In 2020, Kreider signed a seven-year contract with the NY Rangers.
