Northeastern University captured the Hockey East Championship over the weekend with a thrilling 3-2 win over Boston College.

Four Valley Jr. Warrior alumni were among the victorious Huskies squad. First Collin Murphy, a sophomore defensemen from Wilmington, MA spent two seasons with the Warriors back in 2009-2011, secondly, Austin Goldstein, a sophomore forward from Reading, MA who also spent two seasons with the Warriors from 2011-2013, freshman goaltender Nick Scarpa of North Andover who spent the 2016-17 season playing for the VJW EHL team, and lastly Matthew Thomson, a freshman forward from Reading, MA who spent his Bantam Minor season with the Warriors back in 2011-2012.

On the ice that night was a total of five Valley Jr. Warrior alumni, two of which were among the Boston College squad. Casey Fitzgerald, a B.C. senior defensemen who spent multiple seasons with the Warriors spanning from 2009-2013 and JD Dudek, a senior forward who spent two seasons with the Warriors form 2008-2010.
