Congratulations to North Reading native and former Valley Jr. Warrior, Alex Carpenter, for being selected to the USA Hockey roster for the USA vs. Canada Rivalry Series.
Carpenter was one of 23 players selected to U.S. Women’s National Team that will face Canada in the opening three contests of the 2022-23 Rivalry Series in November.
Carpenter represented the USA at the 2022 Bejing Olympics taking home silver. Where she recorded 7 points in 7 games with 4 goals and 3 assists. Carpenter has played professionally in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL), and Russia.
Currently, she played in the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) which is host to the elite international talent from USA and Canada.
Alex played three full seasons with the Warriors from 2006-2009 as a Peewee Major through Bantam Major. The 28-year-old is an Olympic Medalist, World Champion and a Boston College Alumni. Carpenter has received several honors and awards throughout her hockey career from the professional to international level.
