2016 Elite Team Shines at Waterville Valley White Mountain Shootout

The Valley Jr. Warriors 2016 Elite team showed pure dominance at the 2024 Waterville Valley White Mountain Shootout, finishing with a perfect 4-0-0 record. The tournament began with a thrilling 7-4 victory over the Bay State Breakers on Friday night, followed by a solid 3-0 win over Top Gun. On Sunday, the Warriors continued their strong play with a 7-1 win over the Providence Capitals.

In the championship game, the Warriors faced the Bay State Breakers once again, and this time, they delivered a commanding 6-1 victory, clinching the championship title and capping off an undefeated weekend.

2015 Elite Warriors Win Gold in Montreal!

The 2015 Elite team took their talents to Montreal, where they earned the coveted Gold Medal at their tournament. The Warriors allowed just six goals in four games, with 11 of their 14 players contributing goals over the course of the competition.

The tournament kicked off with a gritty 3-2 win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, coached by former NHLer Riley Armstrong (now the Director of Player Development for the Philadelphia Flyers). Later that day, the Warriors dominated the Stouffville (Ontario) Clippers with a 7-1 victory. On Saturday, the Warriors fought off a physically mature Newmarket Renegades team, securing a 3-1 win through speed and relentless competition.

In the final, the Warriors found themselves facing the Lehigh Valley Phantoms once more. After killing off an early 5-on-3 penalty, the Warriors relied on balanced scoring and excellent team play to win 5-2, securing the Gold Medal.

U14 Selects Dominate in Florida’s Veterans Day on the Beach Tournament

The U14 Select team traveled to Florida for the Veterans Day on the Beach Tournament, where they turned in an impressive 4-0-1 performance, taking home the championship.

The Warriors’ weekend began with a tough start as they fought back for a 3-3 tie against King Rebellion from Ontario. They bounced back in their second game with a 10-2 domination of the Leaside Flames (Ontario). The Warriors finished Round Robin play strong, defeating the Palm Beach Hawks (Florida) 6-2 to secure their spot in the semifinals.

In the semifinal, the Warriors faced King Rebellion once again, this time coming out fast and physical with a 7-2 win, earning a spot in the final against the #1 seeded South Shore Dynamos. With the Dynamos leading 2-1 late in the third period, the Warriors showed their resilience. Pulling their goalie, they kept the pressure on, and with less than a minute left in regulation, they fired a shot from the slot to tie the game.

In the thrilling 3v3 overtime, the Warriors capitalized on a turnover, swiftly moving into the offensive zone and scoring the game-winning goal with a perfectly executed pass from the point to the backdoor for a tap-in finish. The Warriors won 3-2, securing the championship and capping off an unforgettable tournament run.

With five tournament titles across different age groups both boys and girls, the 2016 Elite, 2015 Elite, and U14 Select teams each showcased the hard work, teamwork, and perseverance that define the Warriors program.
