Valley Jr. Warriors Set the Gold Standard for Elite Player Development with the New Mite Program and Director!
The Valley Jr. Warriors are proud to announce the details regarding the new Mite Elite Program, including the Lawrence Valley Forum as the Home Arena for the Warrior Mite teams. The Warriors for the first time have hired a Mite Program Director, David Breen, to focus exclusively on each individual Jr. Warrior Mite player and their individual skating and skill development throughout the entire season. David is currently the President of Micro Ice and brings 20+ years of experience as a skills instructor with Micro Ice and Dynamic Skating as well as 10+yrs experience as a NCAA DI player and coach at Merrimack College, Bentley University and Phillips Andover.
Breen will be instrumental in formulating and implementing an age appropriate skating and skill development program in conjunction with Jr. Warriors’ renowned Youth Director, Steve MacAdams. Breen will coordinate and lead all on-ice sessions including weekly practices and skills, in conjunction with a renowned coaching staff that will include Steve Harb (2012 Coach) and Mike Fonzi (2013 Coach).
Steve grew up and played his hockey locally at North Andover HS where he earned various awards including Massachusetts Defensive Player of the Year and went on to play NCAA DI Hockey at Dartmouth College. Mike Fonzi will be coaching the 2013 Elite team. Mike was a standout for Everett High playing as a true freshman and later selected for the HNIB Allstars. Fonzi went on to play his Junior Hockey for the Mass Mariners and has been assisting with Jr. Warrior ’07 for the past 2 seasons.
Jr Warrior Mite teams will practice and play their home games at the Lawrence Valley Forum. This arena was the home of the Warriors from 1997 until 2007, when the Haverhill Valley Forum was constructed.
