E9 GIRLS: VJW Alumni leading the way in the PWHL

Valley Jr. Warrior Alumni, Alex Carpenter, has been making a statement in the inaugural PWHL season. 

The 29-year-old forward currently leads the league in points with 12 (6 goals, 6 assists). Carpenters's 12 points have come in just 10 games. Her 1.20 points per game average also leads the league. She marked the first official signing for PWHL New York as they launched their first official season. 

Carpenter represented the USA at the World Championship last year where Team USA earned Gold. She was also a part of the 2022 Beijing Olympics teams that won silver. Carpenter has played professionally in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL), and Russia.

Alex played three full seasons with the Warriors from 2006-2009 as a Peewee Major through Bantam Major. The 29-year-old is an Olympic Medalist, World Champion, and a Boston College Alumni. Carpenter has received several professional and international honors and awards throughout her hockey career.
